Music Therapy
Music therapy is the use of music by a trained therapist to support the healing and personal growth of people with emotional, intellectual, physical or social needs. While each music therapy session looks different, a session might include shared music-making, improvising, musical stories, rhythm, active listening, songwriting, dancing, and more.

About Music Therapy
Music therapy is the use of music by a trained therapist to support the healing and personal growth of people with emotional, intellectual, physical or social needs.
What is a Music Therapy session like?
Registered Music Therapists use the special qualities of music in a shared relationship with their clients, to meet personal needs, support learning, and promote healing and change. While each music therapy session looks different, a session might include shared music-making, improvising, musical stories, rhythm, musical games, active listening to recorded music, songwriting, dancing and movement, or even learning an instrument for building confidence and mana.

These outcomes are supported by international music therapy research.
